How stopping eating meat is fair to animals

At first, I did not know what it means to be a vegetarian or vegan. I thought it had to do with our health. But it is more than that! It is a practice that goes beyond what we eat, rather it has to do with animals and eating creatures that have suffered a lot. But it also has to do with any other products, such as clothing, that we choose to use in your everyday life.

Still, I was thinking that vegetables have life too, so why should we consume them? But the difference is that animals have a brain and they suffer – vegetables don’t. It is not fair to eat them, just because we are humans and have the power to make such decisions. Maybe in the past as a species we survived by eating animals. But this was many years ago. Nowadays we do not really need to follow that practice.

So, a vegetarian is someone who does not eat meat (red meat, poultry, seafood and the flesh of any animal). A vegan is someone who does not eat meat, as well as any animal products, such as milk, eggs, honey or any other product that comes from animals. There is a big difference between being vegan and vegetarian. But both are healthy practices.

And you might ask, what should we eat, if we do not consume products like milk or honey? There are other products similar to honey or milk that are produced with vegetables.

So, if you like animals and you think they should not be exploited and killed, maybe you could think of becoming a vegetarian or vegan, and stop buying meat. Of course, you should research more about it first!

I wish all animals will be safe one day!
