In the name of dreams

One of my dreams is to travel around the world and the biggest dream of my life is to travel to my homeland Afghanistan. To the big house I own and have never seen! This is my greatest dream in life! When this dream comes true, I will wear the beautiful traditional clothes of my homeland, the clothes that show my Afghan culture and origin.

I fly to Afghanistan every day in my dreams. My greatest hope is this: to walk on the ground of my homeland and kiss its flag. I will gain many experiences by travelling to Afghanistan. I will talk to my compatriots and listen to the pains and sorrows in their lives during the past 30 years of war.

I will become Afghanistan! I will learn about the culture and the traditions of my country; I will get acquainted with the beauties of my homeland. I will take pictures with my camera and I will share them on social media, so that if someone wants to see Afghanistan, like I did in my childhood, they will be able to see what their homeland looks like. I also want to share my pictures online, so that when someone searches for Afghanistan, they will see more than just pictures and videos of bombed and bloodstained neighbourhoods and cities, full of captives and exhausted people.

I want them to be proud and excited about the beauty of their homeland, so that they are not afraid to say that they are Afghans.

I have this big dream and I hope that one day it will come true. This is what keeps me alive. I will never give up. I will stand firm and I will fight any problems or obstacles in my way.

I always look for a ray of light in the darkness!
